Pelican Hill // A magical 150 dove release & Same Day Edit
Krystle & Francis had a stunning wedding last week at Pelican Hill full of cultural tradition and fun! The day started off with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony (which of course came with games before the groom was let in to see the bride) and then moved on to a beautiful ceremony on the lawn that ended with a 150 white dove release by White Flite. The event design for this wedding was super beautiful due to the expertise of both uber talented designer Christopher Aldama and fabulous wedding planner Jeannie Savage from Details Details. To top it off, we were lucky to work with the fabulous Ira Lippke who is living my dream (working in both NYC and S. Cal) and is a spectacular photographer! Check out their Same Day Edit:
One & Only Palmilla Cabo / Wedding Teaser / Christie & Andrew
Alex and I are enjoying our time here in Cabo and getting ready for another awesome wedding here this weekend. In the meantime though I want to share a quick trailer from the wedding we shot last Saturday at the One & Only Palmilla. This fabulous New York couple brought some equally cool NYC vendors with them including Dave Robbins - an incredible photographer who was also fun to shoot with. Anyway, I met Christie through the internet (that sounds so funny!) and we couldn't wait to film her wedding. Let me just tell you that it did not disappoint!! The day was full of love and family - one thing that is always so evident in all the destination weddings we film. But this one was unique. Their connection was so electric that I could almost feel it. It was soooo incredible to witness and I hope just a little bit has seeped through into this trailer. Enjoy!

Skirball Cultural Center / Wedding Highlights / Amy & Will
Well this was a dream wedding to shoot! I swear I have to pinch myself sometimes when we are lucky enough to work with an amazing team of vendors, an amazing location (Skirball Cultural Center), and of course... an AMAZING couple!! (Oh and a killer gown - or in this case two - and a fabulous pair of shoes didn't hurt either!) Kerrie Underhill coordinated the day masterfully and made it super easy on us and the couple to enjoy ourselves. Oh wait... I was working. Well it didn't feel like it because we had so many opportunities to capture great footage alongside Jasmine Star and it was seriously a blast! Check out the sweet photos she got on her blog. Nisie did the beautiful floral design so of course the reception was full of gorgeousness. All in all it was a great day and I wanted to share a quick highlights! Congratulations Amy & Will!

Hyatt Huntington Beach / Same Day Edit / Carol & Shawn
Ok... the Marathon must continue! Enough with the excuses!! Here is a lovely Same Day Edit from the Hyatt Huntington Beach. It was another rainy Saturday but with the help of Sharon Gall the wedding still turned out beautiful! Carol & Shawn are a super sweet couple and I loved the colors from their wedding! Kim Fox was on hand to take the photos and Kyle had a great time working with her.

Rock 'n Roll Same Day Edit / Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
To say I'm excited to share this SDE is an understatement!! This is a completely unique Same Day Edit which came about after I literally dreamt about this concept - to produce a wedding day music video as a SAME DAY EDIT!! I thought of Aria and Elie because they are an incredibly fun couple who were getting married at the brand spankin' new Mandarin Oriental in Vegas. I pitched it to them and they loved it too!! We picked a Song and Elie worked on memorizing the lyrics for two straight weeks (he's really sick of the song now LOL) and it seriously paid off. We had initially planned to film it 5 times during the day but due to timing and other factors we were only really able to film it twice (and once at the rehearsal dinner the night before) but I'm amazed at how great it turned out regardless! I'm sure it's because I had such an amazing all female rock star team from all over the country assisting me (Cristina Valdivieso from Philly, Kara Jensen from Oregon, and Kristen* from San Fran, and of course Elysium's own Carolyn Templin as editor). We shot 100% on 5DmkII's and one 7D for timelapses. Tory Cooper did an absolute fabulous job pulling this beautiful event together and we absolutely loved working with another all female rock star crew: J and J Photography... you have to check out their photos!!!

Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel / Same Day Edit / Kellan & Brandon
I'm so glad I finally have a chance to blog this SDE!!! Kellan & Brandon are a super cool couple and had a totally beautiful wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel. The ceremony had to be moved inside due to the rain but that didn't dampen the mood! Everyone was so excited and the ballroom actually transformed beautifully into the ceremony location thanks to Sunny from White Lilac and Jeannie from Details Details (awesome planner). After the ceremony there was a window of great weather so Victor Sizemore and I were able to get some really killer shots outside. Then it was on to the reception where... can I just say... these people know how to party!!! Enjoy this Same Day Edit:
